Acineau Galleries Pop-up StoreFive new businesses will open downtown this weekend filling vacant storefronts for the holiday season.

Acineau Galleries, an art gallery, at 214 N. Tejon St., Playground Kidz, a children’s fashion and toy store, at 113 E. Bijou St., Required Attire, a clothing store, at 109 E. Bijou St., Rocky Mountain SOAP Market, a cosmetics and beauty supply store, at 220 N. Tejon St., and Spinning Star Gallery, an art gallery and gift store at 130 N. Tejon St., are opening Nov. 1 as part of the Holiday Pop-up program.

The effort allows retailers to lease vacant spaces at a discounted price for two months. It is a first for downtown, and applications to take part were due by the beginning of the month.
